Terms of Use

Welcome to Sportilink. These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Sportilink, and they govern your use of the Sportilink mobile app and website. By creating an account or using Sportilink, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Sportilink.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create a Sportilink account.
If you are under 18, you may use Sportilink only with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.
The Meet feature is restricted to users aged 18 and over.
The Partner interest within Meet additionally requires completed identity verification.
You must provide accurate information, including a truthful date of birth. Misstating your age is a serious violation and will result in removal from the platform.
You may not use Sportilink if you have previously been banned from it.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, and for keeping your login credentials, verification codes, and login links private.
One person, one account. Do not impersonate anyone, and do not create an account on someone else's behalf without their authority.
Tell us immediately at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Community Rules

Sportilink exists to get people playing sport together. When you use it, you agree to behave kindly and respectfully towards others, and to encourage and support fellow users.

You agree not to:

harass, bully, threaten, stalk, or abuse anyone;
post or send hateful content, or content that discriminates on the basis of race, religion, ethnicity, gender, disability, or sexual orientation;
post sexually explicit content or nudity, or solicit sexual services;
contact, solicit, or attempt to meet a user you know or believe to be a minor for any romantic or sexual purpose;
defraud, scam, or deceive other users, including through fake listings, fake payment receipts, and fake venues;
spam, advertise outside the marketplace and sponsor features, or bulk-message users;
impersonate another person, club, venue, or organisation;
scrape, harvest, or automate access to Sportilink, or attempt to bypass our security, rate limits, verification, or ban systems;
upload malware or anything unlawful;
misrepresent your identity, age, gender, or verification status.

Breaking these rules may result in content removal, warnings, loss of badges or points, suspension, a permanent ban, and where appropriate a report to law enforcement.

4. Meeting People — Meet, Seekers, and Sessions

This is the most important section in these Terms. Please read it carefully.

Sportilink introduces people to each other. We do not run criminal background checks on users. Identity verification confirms only that a user submitted an identity document that appeared to match a selfie — it is not a safety guarantee, not a character reference, and not a statement that a person is trustworthy. A verified badge means that this is probably a real person, and nothing more.

You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, online and in person. We strongly recommend that you:

meet in a public place, especially the first time;
tell someone you trust where you are going and who you are meeting;
arrange your own transport;
never send money, share financial details, or share identity documents with another user;
stop and report anyone who pressures you, threatens you, or makes you uncomfortable.

You agree not to use Meet or the Seeker features for commercial solicitation of any kind, including escort or sexual services, multi-level marketing, or recruitment for anything other than the sport, social, and professional connection described in the app.

Sportilink is not a party to, and accepts no responsibility for, what happens between users before, during, or after a meeting arranged through the platform.

5. Identity Verification

Verification is optional and unlocks hosting features and the Partner interest in Meet. You agree that the documents you submit are genuine and your own. Submitting a forged or altered document, or another person's document, is grounds for immediate permanent ban and may be a criminal offence. We use these documents only as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Physical Activity and Sessions

Sport carries a risk of injury. You take part in any session, match, event, tournament, coaching session, or court booking at your own risk, and you confirm that you are physically fit to do so. Sportilink does not supervise, organise, or insure these activities, and is not liable for injury, illness, loss, or damage arising from them.

Organisers — of clubs, sessions, events, tournaments, venues, and courts — are responsible for the accuracy of what they publish, for the safety and lawfulness of what they run, for any permits, insurance, or venue permissions required, and for how they treat participants.

7. Your Content

You keep ownership of everything you upload to Sportilink — your photos, descriptions, listings, messages, and other content.

By uploading it, you grant Sportilink a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example, resizing an image), publish, display, and distribute that content, for as long as you keep it on Sportilink and only for the purposes of operating, promoting, and improving the platform. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared with other users, copies retained in backups for a limited period, and content we must retain as described in our Privacy Policy.

You confirm that you have the right to upload what you upload, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. We may remove content that breaches these Terms or the law.

8. Marketplace, Payments, and Subscriptions

Sportilink does not process payments and does not hold your money. Where the app shows payment instructions, invoices, or subscription amounts, these are arranged and settled directly between you and the club, organiser, venue, coach, or member concerned — typically by bank transfer, with a receipt uploaded as proof.

This means:

Sportilink is not the seller, buyer, escrow agent, or payment processor in any transaction between users.
Marketplace listings are the seller's responsibility. We do not verify items, prices, condition, or availability.
Refunds, cancellations, delivery, and disputes are between the parties to the transaction. We may assist by providing records, but we are not obliged to resolve disputes or to compensate you.
Never treat an uploaded receipt as proof that funds have cleared. Confirm with your own bank.

If we introduce paid Sportilink features or subscriptions billed by us, or purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play, we will publish the applicable pricing, billing, renewal, and refund terms before you buy. Store purchases will additionally be governed by that store's own terms.

9. Points, Badges, and Rankings

Activity points, badges, pioneer tiers, ranks, and leaderboard positions are features of the platform. They have no monetary value, cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged for money, and may be adjusted, recalculated, reduced, or removed — including when we correct an error or penalise abuse such as creating content solely to farm points. Thresholds and point values may change.

10. Sponsors and Advertising

Sportilink may display sponsor and promotional content. Sponsors are responsible for what they advertise. Appearance on Sportilink is not an endorsement, and any dealing you have with a sponsor is between you and them.

11. Reports, Moderation, and Termination

You can report users and content in the app. We review reports and may act on them, but we do not promise to review every report, or to act in any particular way or within any particular timeframe.

We may warn, restrict, suspend, remove content from, or permanently ban any account that breaches these Terms, that receives credible reports of misconduct, or where we reasonably believe action is necessary to protect users or the platform. Serious violations — including anything involving a minor, sexual content, fraud, violence, or forged identity documents — will result in immediate permanent removal.

You may stop using Sportilink and delete your account at any time from within the app.

12. Availability

Sportilink is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any particular feature will continue to exist. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indonesian law, Sportilink is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data, goodwill, or opportunity, arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Sportilink against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your content, your conduct towards other users, or any activity you organise or take part in through the platform.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. When we make a material change we will update the date at the top and notify you in the app before it takes effect. If you continue to use Sportilink afterwards, you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Disputes will be resolved in accordance with Indonesian law, and we encourage you to contact us first at [email protected] so that we can try to resolve the matter directly.
